The comprehensive examination tests the proficiency of each technician to ensure collections are performed in a professional and consistent manner. Technicians must adhere to federal guidelines to ensure the integrity and control of the specimen and maintain the confidentiality of the donor.

To obtain accredited status with the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association the facility is required to adhere strict standards in areas of regulatory compliance, company service standards, specimen handling, operational practices, business ethics and facility equipment.
